Introducing the reverse-engineered Murcielago

The Schoner is a car based on the Lamborghini Murcielago with re-engineered carbon fiber monocoque chassis.

Introducing The Schöner

Limited to twenty-five commissions

The Schöner is Gregor Hans Schöner’s answer to the Murciélago: the last naturally aspirated V12 silhouette, rebuilt from the structure outward. A prepreg carbon tub monocoque, then a steel skeleton — so the body still recognises Sant’Agata, while the chassis no longer carries the weight the 2000s had to accept. It is not a restoration. It is not a catalogue conversion. It is a new car in a legendary skin, limited to twenty-five examples worldwide.

The finished car is specified according to the buyer’s request. The original Murciélago powertrain, gearbox and selected mechanical components are retained. The carbon monocoque, the steel skeleton that carries it, the full exposed carbon body and the complete interior are all new.

Chassis

Every Schöner begins with an original Murciélago. The original steel chassis design is reverse engineered, then rebuilt lighter and stiffer. A purpose-engineered prepreg carbon monocoque is manufactured in-house and integrated with a steel skeleton. The combination raises torsional rigidity and lowers weight relative to the original chassis. The silhouette remains. The structure beneath it does not.

Powertrain

The original naturally aspirated V12 is retained. Its character is preserved. Cooling, intake and exhaust paths are developed to suit the new body and the intended use of each commission.

Body

The outer body is full exposed carbon, developed as one commission with the monocoque and interior. Surfaces, joints and tolerances are resolved together. The result is a continuous structure rather than an applied skin.

Interior

The interior is new. Materials, surfaces and controls are specified with the owner. The mechanical soul of the Murciélago remains visible and usable; everything surrounding it is made again.

Limitation

Only twenty-five examples will be built. Each is unique to its owner’s request. Allocation is by commission through DMC Exotic Car Tuning Limited.

The Schöner and its parent company DMC Exotic Car Tuning Limited are not sponsored, associated, approved, endorsed nor, in any way, affiliated with Lamborghini North America, Inc., or Lamborghini S.P.A. Lamborghini S.P.A. is the owner of numerous trademarks, both registered and unregistered, including, without limitation, the Lamborghini Crest®, Lamborghini®, and the model numbers and names and the distinctive shapes of the Lamborghini automobiles, such as the federally registered Murcielago automobile. Any mention of Lamborghini North America, Inc., or Lamborghini S.P.A. trademarked names or other marks is for purpose of reference only.

The Schöner Timeline

Heinrich Schöner worked in car repair in post-war Germany. His son, Gregor Hans Schöner, grew up with that work, but was educated in finance.

2009
Gregor founded DMC, the world-famous car tuner. The company joins his earlier business experience with the mechanical interest he took from his father. It gained overnight fame for the Lamborghini Aventador MV.

2023
A first design for an own car is shown under “The Schöner” brand. The focus was exterior only. No technical details were developed at that time.

2026
The direction is set: DMC’s first car was a Murciélago, Gregor’s first supercar was a Lamborghini. The Schöner will be based on such. The model of choice is a Murciélago, albeit with a carbon monocoque.

The Schöner: A New Era of Performance Begins

The Post Body

The Soul of the 993. The Future of the Hypercar.

At The Schöner, our philosophy is guided by a singular obsession: the pursuit of the definitive. For years, the silhouette of the Porsche 993 has represented the zenith of air-cooled aesthetics. Today, we are not merely restoring that icon—we are reimagining it from the ground up as a bespoke electric hypercar.

While our heritage is defined by the rigid standards of German engineering, we recognize that the future of high-performance electrification is being written in the East. It is with great pride that we announce the opening of the The Schöner Research & Development Center in Zhuhai, China.

Why Zhuhai?
Innovation requires proximity to excellence. China has emerged as the global epicenter for electric vehicle (EV) development, offering a technological ecosystem that is years ahead of the curve. By planting our roots in Zhuhai, we gain direct access to the world’s most advanced battery architectures and propulsion intelligence.

Beyond the Restomod
Unlike a traditional restomod, The Schöner is a clean-sheet development. At its heart lies our proprietary aerospace-grade carbon fiber monocoque—a modular masterpiece of lightness and rigidity. By marrying this ultra-lightweight chassis with a 1,500hp electric soul, we are creating a driving experience that honors the 993’s legendary proportions while delivering performance that was once thought impossible.

German Soul. Global Intelligence.
Our Zhuhai R&D hub allows our engineers to refine the delicate balance between classic analog feel and digital precision. It is here that the Porsche 993 homage is truly reborn—not as a relic of the past, but as the pinnacle of the future.

The First Circle is expanding.
